8 weeks since she badly broke her wrist during practise for Round 4 - Katie made her racing comeback this weekend. With no expectations of what she may be able to manage, we just hoped she would enjoy herself and be happy to be back on track. A very wet Saturday practise and topping the grids out of 26, including the Rotax Inters, on a mixed class grid, all boded well for TQ. In 2022 Katie joined a competitive kart team for the first time – Ambition Motorsport. Based in the North of Scotland every event weekend entailed lots of miles and endless commitment to be at tracks such as Clay Pigeon in Dorset to GYG in North Wales, Warden Law nr Newcastle and the nearest of Rowrah in Cumbria -at only 5 and 1/2 hours away from home.
