*DEBUT* Motorsport UK British Kart Grand Prix – Kart Masters

August 2025 – First time ever at Kart Masters and what an amazing experience. Often affectionately dubbed as ‘Krash Masters’ we’ve always been a bit wary of entering, but can honestly say we’ve had the best 4 days of karting. 42 entries in Junior X30 – the aim is to make it through each of the 4 heats in one piece and avoid the Sunday Repechage.

Friday morning Qualifying in the wet, left me in a shocking track position and P38 overall

  • Heat 1 – P25 to P11
  • Heat 2 – P26 to P14
  • Friday Classification P19

Saturday Qualifying – amazing pace and a perfect track position – P8 in group

  • Heat 3 – P11 to P14
  • Heat 4 – P10 to P7
  • Intermediate Classification P14

Sunday Pre- Final

  • P14 to P11 to DNF

A tough fast paced race that saw me make a move for P8 on the last corner on the last lap – 100 yds from the finish line – only to be driven over and hit the barrier at full speed. So close to what would have been an amazing starting position for the Grand Final….Unfortunately I was injured in the crash and dislocated the top two joints in my finger. Copious amounts of gas and air administered by the Paramedics and they were able to re-set my finger. And Scott was able to fix my slightly bent kart too

  • Grand Final P31 to P16 to P23

With nothing to loose, i gave it my best, despite the pain every time I went over a bump….and managed to finish P16.I did receive a 5sec questionable in race penalty – the only one I had all weekend – which knocked me down to P23. I also had to go back to the Paramedics and following a few xrays when we got home, i found out I had broken the knuckle off my finger.
